Though Ben, our founder cut his teeth in traditional bed stores for many years – it was in a humble storage unit in Queanbeyan where Bloody Good Mattresses was born.
After being given an ultimatum by his partner to stop selling mattresses out of their double garage, the curious idea of using a storage unit as a showroom/warehouse took shape.
An initial 3 month trial turned into 4 and a half years there, selling thousands of mattresses to the Canberra community, including to 10 different Embassies and 2 well known Politicians.
